Voices & Disturbing Beliefs
Voices are sometimes described as hallucinations but the term “hearing voices” is a more useful and accurate description.
Hearing voices is one of the more complex symptoms of Psychosis and you may not be sure if this is relevant to you; some people hear voices are are perfectly happy with the experience, however others can feel confused and frightened by the experience.
People who hear voices can experience some or all of the following, but in some instances feel something entirely different:
- feel tired and lack motivation
- suffer from depression
- experience panic
- experience anxiety
- be in a world of your own
- staring without blinking
For a more complete understanding of voices and disturbing beliefs, the following self-help leaflet is provided.
